The Minnesota Workers Memorial

The Minnesota Workers Memorial will commemorate the contributions of workers in the State of Minnesota during its 150 year history. Sited on the Minnesota State Capitol mall, the simple design takes advantage of the sloped site, focusing on a retaining wall that will be veneered with a brick sculpture. The sculpture will depict various trades, professions, and alliances found in the state. The memorial is entered from the east and west with seating provided at the site of the sculpture. Construction is slated for summer 2007.
