Secret Garden Exhibition Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Chaska, MN
The "Secret Reflections" secret garden was designed by CLOSE Landscape Architecture+ and selected in competition as the first exhibit in the 2006 Secret Gardens Exhibit at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska, Minnesota. Secret Reflections was conceived and constructed by Senior Landscape Architect James Robin with assistance from Chuck Cox' s Second Nature Landscape and Bill Brueggeman from Accurate Construction.
The design creates a limitless, below ground space through the use of four large mirrors surrounding a geometric planting on the floor of a 10' x 10' hole. This fascinating presentation wowed over a hundred thousand visitors with its "Alice in Wonderland" quality during the 4 month exhibition.
