HiLake Connectivity Plan Minneapolis, MN
The HiLake Connectivity Plan seeks to build capacity for partnership thoughout the district centered on Hiawatha Avenue and Lake Street. At the crossroads of the region's first light rail line and a major commercial corridor, the district is well positioned for growth, including increased density , a vital mix of uses, a gracious public realm and the integration of public art. Working on behalf of the McKnight Foundation, our work has brought together a broad range of area stakeholders, including city, county and regional public agencies, residents, neighborhood organizations, national corporations, commercial real-estate developers, and arts organizations. Through careful listening and strategic design input, a diverse set of concerns has been distilled to common vision matched with specific implementation steps to help this district realize its potential for transit-oriented development.
