A graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, which included a year's study abroad in Australia, Deb joined CLOSE Landscape Architecture+ in 1994. Prior to coming to our office, Deb worked with the Three Rivers Park System for five years and in a private office focusing on park design for another five years. Deb has worked on a broad range of projects while at CLOSE, including multi-family housing, school site design, campus planning and natural resources planning. Her deep portfolio and skills as a park planner and site designer have been a tremendous asset for the studio.

Deb is an active member of the Minnesota Chapter of ASLA.

Deb has an infectious sense of humor that helps keep balance in the studio. She lives in Saint Paul with her husband Tim, a DNR Fish and Wildlife expert, and their two teen-aged children, Ben and Kari.
